Profile

Ayaz Asadov is currently a PhD candidate at the Alliance of Civilizations Institute of Ibn Haldun University in Istanbul, Turkey. He holds an MPP from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt, Germany, and an MA in the Study of Contemporary Muslim Thought and Societies from Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Doha, Qatar.
Among Ayaz's recent experiences is his role as a research fellow in a two-year project titled "Islamic Thought And Its Implications For Current Social Inquiry: A Multiplex Approach," funded by the John Templeton Foundation (2020-22). Ayaz is also a co-author of "Comparative Theories And Methods:  Between Uniplexity And Multiplexity," published by Ibn Haldun University Press (2020). His scholarly interests include the questions of Intellectual History, Sociology and History of Knowledge, and the History of Epistemic Virtues.
