She is a Ph.D. student at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Faculty of Humanities History of Near East. Her research topic is women’s movements, gender issues, and feminism in Egypt and Sudan. Salome Bochorishvili participated as the main staff in Tbilisi State University Targeted Scientific Research Project - Islam, Gender and Education in Modern Georgia (Based on Kvemo Kartli) (2016). She co-authored the scientific article Islam, Gender and Education in Contemporary Georgia: The Example of Kvemo Kartli. – International Journal of Social, Behavioral, Educational, Economic, Business and Industrial Engineering. Vol.11, No.7 (2017), 1535-1539. (N. Gelovani, D. Ismailov, S. Bochorishvili.).  She participated in: the 19th International Conference on Arabic Studies and Islamic Civilization. She took part in Student Conference - Dialogue of Religions- Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Humanities, Study-Scientific Institute of World History (Modern and Contemporary History) with the topic, Status of the Muslim Community of Georgia” (2016). She took II place at – the 76th university scientific conference of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University students (Dedicated to Iv. 140th anniversary of the birth of Javakhishvili) with the topic Oriental policy of the Pope of the Rome Francis I (in the light of the recent crisis in the Middle East) (2016). She visited Egypt and studied at Cairo University Arabic Language Learning Center for Foreign Students (2014-2015) under the Egyptian government scholarship. She authored the Arabic-Georgian Explanatory dictionary of Islam.
