Institute of Knowledge Integration has launched its first certified postgraduate online higher educational program in Islamic Thought & Integration of Knowledge. With the support from IIIT and as a joint project of Institute of Knowledge Integration (Georgia) and Association of Educational Development (Ukraine), the first Orientation Day was held on-line on Saturday, May 29th. Opened by the welcoming speech of Dr. Ahmad Totonji, IIIT Vice-President, the program has been continued by Dr. Omar Hasan Kasule, IIIT General Secretary with the lecture “Tauhid as the Basis for Integration of Knowledge”.

During the Orientation, Dr. Ildus Rafikov (Managing Director of the IKI Academy) informed the faculty and students about the main features of the educational program; practical issues were addressed by Dr. Elmira Akhmetova (Deputy Director in Academic Affairs). Starting with the courses on Methodology of Scientific Research and Concept Formation, Islamic Civilization in World History, Islamic Epistemology and Critical Thinking, Tafsir, and Sociology of Religion and Culture, the program is going to be attended by 50 students from twenty one countries, including from the CIS area (Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan), South East Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand), Africa (The Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania and Ethiopia), the EU countries (Spain, Norway) and other parts of the world from the Caribbean to the Far East.

Working in online teaching mode through e-learning portal with synchronous and asynchronous classes, IKI Academy also plan to continue series of CIS Lectures inviting world renowned scholars for guest lectures and organizing on site events.
