As We Wrap Up IKI Summer School 2025...

Bishkek, mountains, the Qur’anic worldview, future thinking, and unforgettable connections — what a journey it has been!

This past week, seasoned educators, researchers, and curious minds from the Central Eurasian region came together in the heart of Kyrgyzstan to explore contemporary approaches to teaching and research in Islamic Studies — through the integrated lens of Revelation and Creation.

This Summer School was jointly organized by the Institute of Knowledge Integration (Tbilisi, Georgia) and the Institute for International Development (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan), with the generous support of the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT, USA).

During the Summer School participants reflected on the Qur’anic worldview, engaged in deep discussions on Islamic history, psychology, artificial intelligence in education and research, multireligious and multicultural dialogue, pedagogy and futures thinking, and most of all — asked this meaningful question:

How to develop an integrated Islamic approach to teaching and research today, and for the future?

Group activities, collaborative research design, and warm exchanges of insight filled every moment. Outside the sessions, we experienced the beauty of Bishkek, the nearby mountains, fresh fruits, and genuine local hospitality.

A special joy was welcoming our past and current IKI students, who visited the Summer School venue just to meet their teachers and fellow seekers of knowledge.
