The goal of lecture is to explore the methodologies mentioned in the Qur’an, which are used directly or indirectly as a means in dealing with others.
During an online lecture, Dr. Fatmir SHEHU will talk about:
– The meaning of al-Qur’an as the Divine Source of Knowledge.
– The Qur’anic Methodologies, namely: descriptive, objective, analytical, critical, comparative, argumentative, and travelogue.
– The Illustration of one selected Qur’anic Methodology.
It is hoped that this Online Seminar provides for the participants the Qur’anic Methodology to be used by them in their day-to-day lives. Also, it enables them to differentiate between the Qur’anic methodology and other types of methodologies presented by other religions and human ideologies.
Dr. Fatmir SHEHU, an Albanian citizen, received his B.A (hons) and M.A. degrees from IIUM in Arabic Language/Linguistics and Ph.D. degree from IIUM in Usul al-Din and Comparative Religion. His expertise is in inter-religious and inter-Faith Dialogue, comparative religion, Qur’anic and Sunnah studies, studies in other religions, religion and modernization, moral-ethical studies, religious thought, mysticism, Christian theology.
In addition, his research interests is in Islamic and other religious studies, inter-religious and inter-faith dialogues, comparative and religious ethics, ethnic and minority studies, and European cultural studies, peace and tolerance.
Furthermore, he has presented in many conferences hosted by different countries, like, Malaysia, Turkey, Austria, Albania, and so on. Also, he has written many papers in the field of Inter-religious and inter-Faith Coexistence and Dialogue, Qur’an and Sunnah, Comparative Religion, Religious Ethics, Sufism, Mysticism, Civilization.
