Muslims of Central Eurasia in the 21st Century: Challenges, Opportunities, and Prospects

This edited volume, titled Muslims of Central Eurasia in the 21st Century: Challenges, Opportunities, and Prospects, explores a range of subjects concerning Muslim communities in Central Eurasia, a region encompassing the countries that emerged from the demise of communism. Over the last thirty years, a considerable number of books have been released discussing social and political history, intellectual thought, Islamic revivalist movements, as well as issues concerning identity, religious education, and the prospects of Muslims in specific regions of Central Eurasia. However, only a few of these books have addressed the intellectual and educational advancements of Muslims in the entire region, considering their common origin, shared history, and mutual challenges.
